Childrens Wall Murals

Sometimes when adult's think of murals we think of the huge church ceilings and you will not have to go to that extreme in your child's bedroom.  A children's wall mural can be inexpensive and it will be something that lasts for some time.  So get some ideas and review your plan before jumping in and keep their furniture in mind since this project may include picking up a couple of new pieces for the room.  After all they do not stay young forever no matter how hard we try to keep them young.

Since children are into higher level of the technology of today you will find that they spend a lot of time in their rooms.  As a child you dress and decorate the room so it is pleasing to the eye and a pleasant place to be when you are doing your homework or texting on the phone.  Your decorating choices also change as you get older.  There are several things you can do to a bedroom that will help make the designs last a few years and one of the ideas is called a children's wall mural. A mural is a large picture painted or affixed directly on a wall or ceiling, it can even be a photograph.  If it is wallpaper then it would be a pattern representing itself like a landscape and if the mural is placed on the ceiling then you would possibly be painting the sky, clouds and sun.

What advantages you have with a murals is the fact that you can add on to them as the child grows.  They can keep up with each other.  For example, if you had an ocean life wall mural then you can easily add different features like more fish, seaweed, a treasure chest, a mermaid, a sunken car, a steering wheel, a piece of driftwood with the child's name on it to personalize it.  When you initially started you may have had the water and some water plants and a couple of fish and as the child gets older you add more things to the ocean scene.  You do not have to stop at one wall you can move to a second wall as you need the space.  The goal is to keep the flow and make is special to look at when you are in the room.
